Post-AALA Deregulation Forum To Take Place At The Outdoors Show

Outdoor centre owners and managers are being invited to attend an open forum discussion on the impact of Post-AALA Deregulation for the outdoors sector.

The forum takes place on Friday 13th January at 5.30pm within the OutdoorStaff Careers Cafe at the Outdoors Show, ExCeL London.The event aims to give operators an opportunity to join leading industry panelists debating the impact of deregulation on the Outdoors Sector. Find out the latest news on the plans to replace the statutory system of licensing outdoor adventure practitioners through the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) with a voluntary Code of Practice.

Find out what alternative independent schemes are being considered by different interest groups within the outdoors community. Find out more about the work that is already being done by the British Activity Providers Association, Adventuremark and the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC).

Debate the impact of these changes for both consumers, practitioners and outdoor centre operators. How will this impact on growth for the sector? Will this mean more or less career opportunities in the Outdoors? Will there be more or less demand for national governing body qualifications and other forms of vocational or academic training?
