New Owners For Glasgow SNO!Zone

The SNO!zone at Xscape in Braehead, Glasgow is under new ownership after being sold to Scottish adventure specialists Ice Factor Group. As part of the acquisition, Ice Factor will enter into a 25-year lease with property company Regional & Capital and will undertake a “significant capital investment”, refurbishing and upgrading the facilities. Described as Britain's longest indoor ski slope. the Braehead Centre initially cost £32m to construct. Ice Factor Group managing director Jamie Smith said the centre was delighted to make an "important acquisition" and announced that planned investments will include an indoor ice climbing wall. Ice Factor currently operates the world’s largest indoor ice climbing wall at Kinlochleven near Fort William.
