MP Calls For Return Of Disclaimers

As the next general election approaches an MP has called for a change in the law to protect Adventure operators from the compensation culture. In a submission to Lord Young's inquiry into health and safety legislation, Julian Brazier MP, Co-Chair of the All Party Group for Adventure and Recreation in Society, has called for a change in civil law so that negligence claims be forbidden where people participate in sport or adventure training and sign a disclaimer, unless a much higher bar of reckless disregard can be proven. more...
