28th November 2011
Gerry Moffatt has confirmed that he will share his experiences of running Nepal's premier outdoor centre at the "Careers In The Outdoors" event taking place at The Outdoors Show this January. Gerry first arrived in Nepal on a British kayaking expedition in 1983 at the age of eighteen. Over the next twenty years he became the first man to descend all the major rivers in the Nepalese Himalayas. In 1990 he established the first river company in Northern Pakistan. Currently he serves as the white water consultant to the Kingdom of Bhutan. National Geographic regard him as "the most experienced river guide in the Himalayas." Throughout his career, Gerry has spent a considerable amount of time working in the field of adventure documentary production. He has summated Mt. Everest on two occasions for film productions. His experience in the world of adventure is derived from a lifetime of expeditioning, instructing and guiding skill based outdoor pursuits.
