Government plans for a high speed rail link between London and Birmingham threaten the future of the Hillingdon Outdoor Activity Centre. The planned route for the line runs right over the Centre and through its 45 acre lake. The Centre welcomes over 20,000 children per year and has been established since 1969 and it is managed as an educational charity in partnership with the London Borough of Hillingdon.
