Growth In Outdoor Apprenticeships

Specialist outdoor sector job site OutdoorStaff.co.uk have launched a new careers resource to celebrate National Apprenticeships Week. The online resource pages highlight the growth of apprenticeship schemes in the Outdoors sector, signposts employers with apprenticeship vacancies and includes three new videos that provide practical information from employers. There is also video footage from the "Great Outdoor Qualifications Debate" held at The Outdoors Show in January. The debate includes speaker contributions from major outdoor employers, the National Apprenticeship Service and SkillsActive. Commenting on the launch, Andrew Bird, MD of OutdoorStaff.co.uk said "Apprenticeships have moved into the mainstream within the sector and are no longer the exclusive preserve of the larger multi-centre employers. We hope that this new resource will help both employers and potential new apprentices by exploding a few myths and highlighting the benefits."
