£50,000 Funding For Outdoor Qualifications Announced

SkillsActive have announced that they have won £50,000 worth of funding for a range of valued outdoor qualifications. The funding from Yorkshire and Humber covers approximately half the cost of a range of qualifications used within the outdoor sector. Activities covered include Mountain leading & climbing, Canoeing & kayaking, Mountain biking, Orienteering Caving, Sailing & windsurfing, Basic expedition leadership and Archery. SkillsActive are currently encouraging training providers to sign up with the Train To Gain Skills Enhancement Fund to deliver the funded training. Although the learner will need to be Yorkshire & Humber based, training providers can be from anywhere within the UK.
