Bryntysilio Outdoor Education Centre Saved From Closure

Bryntysilio Outdoor Education Centre has been saved from closure this Summer by Widehorizons Outdoor Education Trust. They have stepped forward following the withdrawal of funding by the Walsall Council and will now manage the Centre near Llangollen, Wales. The owners Walsall Camp Trust are now working with Widehorizons and the Walsall community to thrash out a longer term plan for the future of Bryntysilio. Jim Crabtree, trust chairman, said: "Everyone who visits Bryntysilio is enchanted by the centre and its wonderful setting on a World Heritage site. Ensuring the centre stays open and continues to serve the needs of the people of Walsall and surrounding areas is our number one priority."
