BAHA Becomes BAPA

The British Activity Holiday Association has changed its name to the British Activity Providers Association (BAPA). The change was made at the historic 25th AGM of the Association to reflect the fact that a lot of their members offer educational experiences to school and youth groups as well as holiday and recreational experiences for individuals. The BAPA are looking to expand their membership as they look to extend their well established independent inspection scheme to a wider range of centres and operators to fill the gap that will be left when the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) inspection scheme is disbanded. The BAPA scheme is an approved route to both the new national Adventuremark accreditation and the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge.
