Activity Providers Demand Alternatives To AALA

At the recent conference of the British Activity Providers Association (formerly known as BAHA), operators of outdoor centres expressed their concerns about the impact of deregulation on the sector once the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority is replaced with a code of practice. Many operators expressed the view that a credible voluntary accreditation scheme is essential to provide schools, education authorities and members of the public with reassurance that outdoor centres comply with minimum safety standards that have been verified through an independent inspection process.
