2012 Weymouth Sailing Dates Announced

The schedule of sailing events in Weymouth and Portland for the London 2012 Olympic Games has been announced. Up to 50,000 spectators are expected to watch events such as the Finn, Laser and Star classes will run from 29 July to 11 August. Ticket prices will range from £35 to £55. Spectators at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy will be treated to Finn, Star and women's match racing action in the Elliott 6m on the opening day. Medal Races and Victory Ceremonies start on 5 August with the competition closing on 11 August. Osprey Quay was the first site for the games to be completed and will host up to 400 international athletes.
